ACTIVITY 7.2 – REFLECTION

 What are your considerations to avoid or mitigate risks in e-commerce?

Whenever I was engaging in any e-commerce platforms while buying the products that I want and have to buy. These are the risks that I put into considerations. 

First is the product risks, who would wish to recieve a defective product or a box with nothung but stones in it right? Just like everyone else who is purchasing on e-commerce platforms, I want my purchase to arrive just like how I have imagined it to be, undamaged and well. Therefore, this type of risk have always been on my checklist.

Lastly, Privacy risks. I am aware that the datas that I give on online platforms especially in e-commerce platforms could be stolen and used without my knowing which is dangerous as these things would lead to other online and offline risk and one would be stalking or even identity theft. Therefore, I often take precautions by putting something on my address or name some clues so that I would know which platform circulated my information if ever and track my information status online to determine whether it is still safe or not. I also do not provide my specific address but point it to places that are publicly open just like the nearest convinient store or the public market.

These are the considerations and precautions I take to lessen the factors of receiving a product in bad shape and protecting my privacy at the same time. Especially that the online world is dangerous and unpredictabe.
